As of January 2005 the Evergreen Shuffleboard Association
(ESA) will be dissolved. The Association has fulfilled its obligation to help set up shuffleboard tournament dates. This was the main reason for forming the Association many years ago. As the ESA evolved it became a source of income to the financially struggling Northwest Shuffleboard Hall of Fame. It then was a source of news about the Northwest ESA shuffleboard events via the ESA newsletter. The ESA also sent gifts or cards to ailing members or when there was a death. The point money was a way of encouraging people to attend tournaments. With the dissolution of the ESA this all goes with it. It was great while it lasted but there seems to be no future involvement from its members. We would like to thank all of the loyal members and past and present officers for all of their hard work.
We will be dispersing the points money to the members and raffling off 3 sets of Federation Shuffleboard weights which were donated by John McDermott of the Federation and a weight case donated by Fritzi Broka at the Masters tournament at Buzz’s in Mud Bay the last weekend in January. There will be NO general meeting. Thank You.
Sincerely,
Gary George, President
Tim Nugent, Vice-President
Sharon Nugent, Secretary/Treasurer/Newsletter Editor
P.S.:
This has been the consensus of the people who were going to take over the officers' roles for the
ESA, but if anyone else wants to step up; please do so before it all ends.
