The Crawford County Shuffleboard
League has been in existence for 25+ years.
The Crawford County Pennsylvania area has at least
15 shuffleboards within a 30 mile radius, but
typically only average about 10-12 teams at 8-9
clubs participating in our Crawford County League
and would love to see more establishments and
players participating in this league.
The Crawford County Shuffleboard
League encourages all players interested in the
game from the area (from new to seasoned players),
to consider joining the Crawford County
Shuffleboard League's fun and competition.
Joining the league is a great way to learn to play
and/or improve your game... while you enjoy the
fun, friendship, and competition all at the same
time! If interested in getting more
information about the Crawford County Pennsylvania
Shuffleboard League and/or would like to get
details of joining, contact Ken Kebort, Crawford
County Shuffleboard League VP at: keebs@alltel.net
Brief
Description: Each team needs 6 players
(minimum) per night. Partner play and is to 21
points. 3 games are played and then boards
are re-waxed, playing 9 games per night, and
nobody is allowed to play more than 3 games.
The bars and clubs provide 2 free drinks per
player, each player pays $5 per night which goes
to pay for our banquet. There is a really nice
banquet at the end of the season that includes a
steak dinner, free bar, a live band, and many door
prizes. The season is divided so that we have a
home and home series between the teams, and we
take off between Thanksgiving and New Years.
As you can tell by our standings, there is
some disparity between players as we have no
handicapping, but as far as we know nobody has
ever gone undefeated in a season and would
be surprised if anybody went a whole season
without winning some games. We have some
very good players and wish we were closer to other
areas that have leagues to see how we stack up
against others. Any leagues out there that
might be interested? If so, let us know.
