February has arrived and Valentine's
Day is just days away and we wish all a Happy Valentine's Day with hopefully
some great shuffleboard competition to look forward to. As you can see from the
below calendar of upcoming events, there is a lot of shuffleboard
activity scheduled across the U.S. & Canada for the upcoming Valentine's Day
and St. Patrick's Day timeframe (see below February & March 2006 calendar).
Florida is having their annual back to back tournaments: Cape Kennedy "Blast
Off" and "Florida Open 2006" in March. Nebraska is having their annual
O'Harolds St. Patrick's Day tournament. Texas is having their Texas State
Championships in March. February & March are busy months!
There's also a number of new upcoming
events scheduled throughout the year that have been recently added to the 2006
Calendar. To view all upcoming events and tournament results received for

Results for the month of January are still coming
in, including a new report on the 5th Annual KC Shootout which had a great
tournament and a record attendance (96 registered throughout the tournament!).
Notable: During the KC Shootout, Dave Shewbridge donated 5 rating booklets to
be used as a fundraiser for the Bowers' Ratings and reportedly netted $100 or
more (way to go!).

any new results for 2006 that you would like to have posted, email the

From the looks of all the tournaments already
scheduled for 2006 we seem to be off to a busy shuffling year.

Bowers 2006 Ratings Booklets
(now available to order)
The Bowers are taking orders for the 2006 Player's
Rating booklets and an online version has been posted since the last
newsletter. To order a personal copy of the rating booklet, write to Ron & Debbie Bowers, 3016 Blue Sky Place,
Round Rock, Texas 78665 stating the quantity you wish to order (if
possible, please send a donation to help cover the cost of printing and mailing
